It depends on how well the 270 was reconditioned. If it was a good job, I would certainly choose the 270. The Seydel standard is supposed to be OK, but it lacks windsavers/valves. If the 270 is cleaned up and reconditioned, I would choose it.
Bought new, the 270 costs almost twice as much as the Seydel Standard. ----------

it's like the hohner educator. no valves, no warming up and everyone says very leaky.

@1847 Yes, the Seydel Deluxe Chromatic Harmonica is comparable to the Hohner 270 and the Suzuki SCX-48. The Seydel Standard is more of a beginner, valveless harp. ----------

Just got back; I had to decide, I went with the 270,I wish I could afford a new 270 deluxe, but anyhow the seller has all good feedback ,says he cleans adjusts and debugs his stuff,so I will see.I really like Hohner in the diatonics. This is my first chromatic...

The Seydel Standard is really not that good of a chromatic. It is in no way on par with a 270 as it has a plastic mouthpiece and no wind savers.
The Seydel DeLuxe is built on a 270 style acrylic comb and comparable to the 270. Personally, I like the Saxony better but prefer the Saxony reed plates on a DeLuxe acrylic comb because it is lightweight. ---------- Greg Jones 16:23 Custom Harmonicas greg@1623customharmonicas.com 1623customharmonicas.com

all my diatonics have acrylic combs. I'm not too keen about the wood comb in this super 270.
