Hey Ted,

I seem to hear some tongue blocking inside your playing, that I didn't hear before (around 1 year ago). I ask you a question: your background music calls or inspires something soft and quiet but you seem to play under the influence of 10000 watts, no?
Why you don't play longer notes in place of 250?

OK...maybe you don't remember me but I talked freely and straight with you some time ago...No offense to someone I consider as a master...technically!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there laurent2015. Thanks for the comment, as I am always curious what others think. To answer your question, speed is part of my style, but not it's not my entire style. On this improv, I am thinking of trumpeter Chet Baker, hence the title and hence the approach I took , which , it seems to me, employs more spaces and longer notes . Playing fast, though, is part of my repertoire, and I thought they were done tastefully. It's a matter of taste, I suppose.

What does anyone else think?
Thanks for commenting. It's good to see you here.----------

Very nice, have you ever played around with the chromatic.I have for the last year, and it's a slow go,but very different to the ear.You can play fast slow, and in between, that's for sure.Jump on that chro for some jazzy runs, since maybe you have the time to spend.I think your overdo ready.

Well you know as I've commented before on some other of your pieces Ted, I like your playing. It's fluid, has an easy feel, is inventive, covers a lot of ground, is clear and precise, includes a well balanced variety of runs and held notes.
This piece definitely has the trumpet tone to it, so I'd have to say your intention was met nicely. I wonder if the mike you're using helped with that?
But of course, I'm biased toward something I think we may share, which is a bit of a jazz improvisational sensibility for the blues harp.
As usual, well done, in my humble opinion.
