Happy birthday to the grand old man. He sure keeps rockin' along that blues line. Many more happy and healthy years to him.

I was lucky enough to see Charlie play back in the fall. Even got to meet him and talk a minute.
He's using Greg's mic, a Bassman for amp and a LoneWolf HarpAttack and Kinder Antifeedback along with his Seydel harps.

Charlie doesn't own a Bassman. He has a Sonny Jr Super Cruncher and an Avenger and uses both when he carries his own amp. Otherwise he uses what he can get. But he does use a BlowsMeAway wood mic! ---------- *************************************************** /Greg

Thanks for the correction Greg. I tried to look at my photos blown up on my computer, but could not say for sure. The amp in this photo looks more like the SuperCruncher I believe.

Actually that looks like a real bassman. Sonny Jr cabinets are lacquered - that one isn't. I doubt that's Charlie's rig at all. Looks like a Brown Bullet which he doesn't play. I suspect it is borrowed gear. ---------- *************************************************** /Greg

Do you see that floor receptacle lower left. Who would do that? Talk about a hazard...

Well, y'all make me feel a little better about my amp ID skills.
Greg, it was definitely your mic he played (it was the first one I'd seen in person). Myself and a couple harp players from the local blues scene were able to go on stage and check out his rig.
