I am looking for a 9v distorsion type of effect pedal. Any advice on which to chose from the Harp Brake or Tech 21 Blonde?

I have the Harp Break and my son has the Joyo 'American Sound' (for guitar) which I believe is a copy of the Tech 21 Blonde. So I have compared them.
If that's not the case about the Joyo, or it isn't a good copy, someone will say and you can ignore all this.
IMO the two pedals are different animals: the HB adds tube-style distortion of a particular kind, and has a very effective bass boost which is quite different to the bass eq pot on any amp I've tried. But it doesn't have it's own 'voice' i.e. doesn't otherwise colour the tone.
The Joyo does change the voice, supposed to cover the range from champ through bassman and so on. In fact of course it has and actual pot labelled 'voice' which together with the bass/middle/treble pots you can dial in a huge range of sounds. It's great for the end of the chain with guitar.
It can add distortion too, but it's not the same gritty quality as the HB, more of a smooth, refined sound.
IMO HarpNinja is the authority has demos on these things. If I remember he liked the Tech 21 for it's more modern sound.

Break: Easier to use and not prone to feedback. Will stay relatively clean with a mic like a 58, but get nastier with something even like a 57. Great for "amped" tones, but I prefer using it as an OD pedal.
Blonde: Wider range of tones, can sound more compressed, will feedback depending on settings. While harder to use, it is more flexible with a wider range of tones.
I have both on my board and go for three tones:

Mike, Have you tried the "Joyo" pedal mentioned above? I've seen them for $30 new and if they compare to the blonde that would be a good buy. If your looking for something to warm up your sound going into a pa like the Art Tube preamp, this would be an option.

HarpNinja - It seems like you are using the blonde in place of tube amp? Are you running through a keyboard amp or PA speaker?
If so, could you approximate what kind of clean speaker/amp with the 21 Blonde would cut through and have similar usable volume to a 4x10 bassman style tube amp?
For example, could you approximate the usable volume of a bassman with the pedals and something like a JBL EON515XT (625 watt, 15 inch woofer, 32 pound PA speaker?)
