Hi everyone, Mike from Australia here, just joined and looking forward to being part of the forum I've used a Kinder AFB+ for a few years and found it to be a fine pedal for dealing with feedback. Not so long ago I added a Lone Wolf Flat Cat compressor to my pedalboard because, well I guess because Jason R uses one. I know it's not really a good reason to buy a pedal but you know how it is Anyway I've found that the compressor seems to cause a slight "pop" noise about one millisecond after a I hit a note. Difficult to describe but not very nice to listen to. I can make it go away by turning the compression way down and also fiddling with the knobs on the Kinder, but once I do that I find the compressor isn't really doing anything at all I've since heard that the Kinder is a compressor in its own right, so does that mean I'm trying to compress and already compressed signal? Any advice from the experts would be much appreciated Thanks Mike

Mike - Im sure Jason will help you out. I do know the Kinder AFB = will do that if adjusted past what is needed to keep feedback down. I also notice it more or less depending on how hot my mic is. Minimum settings work best for me. If I use another pedal its a LW Delay, which alters things just slightly.

Thanks so much for the kind offer Jason but my music room is underground and the Internet doesn't work too good there so Skype will be difficult I've since checked out some of your vids and seen that you have previously used an AFB and a compressor so obviously it's a workable combo with the right settings. Your first piece of advice was useful, "too much compression can add too much staccato". I think that's probably my problem. I've now taken apart my whole pedalboard and plan to do some serious experimenting with the settings and the order of pedals. I will get to the bottom of this! Cheers Mike
