I can see why people say they blew reeds out on this new seyden Bb. The last four holes just squeek...and it causes me to really blow too hard in frustration. I'm ordering a d and g from someone. Right now it looks like special 20's

Hi Ampeg.
Although the brass Seydel reeds are not as resilient as other brands, I've found their Blues Session recessed combs to be pretty good - as airtight if not more than SP20s. If you are having squealing, it's not typical and I'm sure it can be addressed pretty easily.

I read they play softer etc, I hate to tear into a new harp, but maybe I could loosen up the reeds,in the mean time I just order 2 special 20's. I really love the session covers, so much more but...

You might look at upgrading reed plates to the stainless steel reed models
I'm a Seydel dealer as are some others here on the forum.
Any could probably hook you up pretty reasonably.
You might also just have a gapping issue ---------- Greg Jones 16:23 Custom Harmonicas greg@1623customharmonicas.com 1623customharmonicas.com
