I hope the link worked
Brendan has been mentioned on a few threads lately so i thought i'd post this track(recorded 1992) to show a side of his playing that a few people might not of heard before.
Also his "two trains running " album with Dave Peabody is country style blues with his idiosyncratic touch, you just know straight away it is him playing.

Brendan played a blues tune called Harmonica Man at SPAH 2013, I was honored to play guitar for him for a few tunes.
Here is the video, Madcat guested on this one too!

Here is the same performance, shot from my side with a louder signal.

Love his sound. Brendan is playing one of his special tuned harmonicas.

Thanks guys. I know I'm not seen as a Blues player, but Blues was my first love. I've dallied with many other styles since, but always feel most relaxed jamming over a 12 Bar blues.

I started with standard Richter tuning, then for many years used PowerBlow tuning (it's on all the tracks of "Two Trains Running"). Now I play PowerBender for Blues and other 10 hole diatonic improvisation (as on the videos above). It gives a nice soulful expression in the upper octaves.

Interesting that Brendan says that he used his Powerblow tuning on Two Trains Running and now uses Powerdraw for all his blues work . It really is such a great album! Do you ever revert to the standard Richter tuning at all Brendan?

I still haven't taken a liking to the PowerBender tuning, must keep giving it a chance.
I really like the PowerChromatic tho, another of Bren's (although I know Magic Dick patented it!). That tuning is the same in every octave, with great chords--F6 blow G6 draw, puts you in C major but good for several keys, including Am. I retune a D to get this . . .

i think madcat totally overplays in that clip
brendan gives him 24 bars to do his thing
and i will say that part was very impressive

but he should of extended the same courtesy to brendan
and let him play 24 bars uninterrupted.

i get a lot of request when i play my harmonica
