I went to the show last night at Jazz Alley in Seattle (there's another show tonight in case someone here wants to catch it), and it was the best show I can remember seeing anywhere. From Mark Hummel to Rick Estrin to Carlos Salgado to James Harmin to Little Charlie Baty to June Core to RW Grigsby to Bob Welsh to an incredibly energetic 80 year old John Mayall - well, it was hard to catch your breathe. Great stories, great singing, great music, and, non-stop, great harp - wow! Do not miss one of these shows if you have a chance to go to one! As Rick Estrin would say - that was some deep shit!

I caught the final Sunday matinee in San Francisco (same lineup minus Harman). It was a really fine show. Mayall was a little under the weather but performed well. I was great seeing and hearing Curtis again. Rick and Mark of course are troupers and can always be counted on for solid performances. Mark was very pleased with the turnout - four successive sold-out shows.
