The BBC showed a collection of 70's songs from The Old Grey Whistle Test. A couple had harmonica on them - Dr Feelgood and Gil Scott-Heron. I love both of these, particularly Dr. Feelgood, well I'm originally from Essex myself. Not refined harp playing like you folks here but that's not the point.

Stevelegh - Yes! For everyone of a certain age in the UK that is THE sound of a blues harmonica. It's only when I started learning the harp I listened to more than those first few bars of the sig. tune!

Actually on that show I mentioned, which went out last week, they cut the sig. tune short. Outrageous.
