Last Friday there was a harmonica tournament in my city, it was the Seydel Open Chile 2014. Player from several cities in my country attended to play and compete, there where more than 20 players playing for the first place. The jury was compose of the pro player in the country: Erwin Iost, Claudio Valenzuela, Juan Moya, Franciso Celedon, Cristian Inostroza, Fer Costa and Leo Enry. From the videos shot that night you can have pretty good idea of the scene here in Chile.
Francisco Celedon:
Juan Moya & Cristian Inostroza:
Claudio Valenzuela:
Fer Costa:
Erwin Iost (my favorite):
And this was the guy who won the first place, he is also a member here (Martic):
And this is me, trying to play simple (this was the first time that I ever step into a stage):
I hope that you like the videos!

Honestly, really good harp playing, held back by the young unexperienced band.
Drummer particularily was no help, and that is sooooo important.
I am not being negative just my opinion. Very good harmonica by all!!

That second video with Juan and Cristain shows some great playing skill. Juan Moya is also very good on the harmonetta. I would like to have heard Leo play. ---------- Wisdom does not always come with old age. Sometimes old age arrives alone.

Sarge watch this:
Yes, is a shame that nobody recorded Leo Enry, he is an awesome country player.
This is the final party, all the winers and the jury in the stage playing. (The guy in a red t-shirt is my harp teacher, Christian Moren, he won the 4th place)

Thanks rogonzab. You can't find folks that can play a harmonetta and those that can play it like Juan Moya are rare indeed. ---------- Wisdom does not always come with old age. Sometimes old age arrives alone.
