Thank you brothers in arms...watchin I can see see and hear lots a places where I loose the swing and play way to stiff...I have another take I did after that one, that I feel swings harder, I'll post it when I get achance and let me know if you can tell the difference, thank you:)

here's the other one...on second thought they're pretty similar - I can notice some things, The backtrack is real basic and really makes you find swing on you own which is helpful actually - The way Walter thinks is a trip - his stuff just feels good to play :)

"Fast Boogie" is probably my favorite track by Little Walter, and you do a great job. I love the jazzy chordal background--Robert Jr. Lockwood added so much to what Walter was doing. This is NOT your mother's "Chicago Blues"--i.e., a basic shuffle. This is the light jazzy modern stuff.

Where did you get the backing track?

Thank you for listening kind sir...You know Little Walter has so much great music - just when I think I like something best, the next song I hear from him changes my mind...When I listen to Fast Boogie cranked on the stereo - by body starts moving and wants to dance - that band did such a great job on that track and Walters phrasing dynamics moves it along so nicely - I love to listen to that song - definitely one of my favorites too Adam :)

The back track comes from Sho Blues collection...here it is the BT for "Fast Boogie"...He sells a lot of great 50's style Bt's for particular songs, but you can use them to practice your own ideals and improvisations with too of course :)

The chordal background is basically doing a more Chicago blues version of what Freddie Green used to do with the Count Basie Band for decades.

Hi Frank
What's the amp you are using? Is the reverb integrated in the amp, a pedal or added during the mixdown?

It's a 4/10 holland amp with built in reverb dedicated to one of the speakers...I do add some reverb too that comes with video Pad the software I use to upload to youtube.

Here is a improve I did in my freezing basement this evening...This is the same Bt I used for LW's fast boogie :)

Frank, I hate to do this--and I certainly hate to pick on YOU, because you're doing what you've done in the best spirit--but by sharing "Fast Buugie" and "Fast Boogie" on Box in the way you have, with little download arrows, you're engaging in illegal filesharing of copyrighted material--and you're using this website, which I'm legally responsible for, to do it.

I don't know if you're the first to do that here, or if this is the first time you've done that--I'm almost positive you're not--but I'm afraid that I need, for legal reasons, to request that you cease and desist. I'll ask that all others follow the same policy.

If you redo the Box paste-ins so that the download arrows go away, I'm fine with that. Thanks.

This forum is fine for sharing YT videos that somebody else has uploaded, including videos of copyrighted material. And it's fine for sharing videos and audio files of anything that you, the individual forum member, has created yourself, including YT videos in which you're playing along with a copyrighted backing track. I'm fine with all that. If YT or Vimeo have allowed something to stand, or haven't yet removed it, I'll consider them to bear the legal responsibility for it. But the word "sharing" should not be interpreted so as to include little easy-download arrows that let other people dump copyrighted material into their own video or music folders.

Good morning Geordie, glad to know improvement is noticeable - though I doubt anyones in the dust, including you... I'm just another happy honker enjoying some down time gettin lost in the world the humble harp :)

Adam hello - that's no problem - they have all kinds of tweaks to do on Box, I'll get them so they won't have that button, peace, love and have a fantastic day :)

Thanks tooka, I'm starting to a make conscious effort to smile before and after the vids I make...It's easy when your alone making a vid to be impersonal and kinda blah, blah, blah cause there is no audience. So I need to remind myself to be a little bit animated and try to at least appear like I'm happy, hahahahaha. Cause if anyone does view my vid, they will hopefully feel I'm approaching their space with an acknowledgement of gratitude.

I listened again to that improv vid to the fast boogie bt and it sounds to me like I'm doing christmas music?

Adam mentioned nice chords early - here is a little ditty my cousin sent a tune he is workin on, pretty catchy :)
