Hi guys, Here are a couple of videos I made a while ago, hope you like them! I was unable to post any videos on here for a while as my router would not work with this website. After much shouting at VirginMedia (who were very helpful) we eventually decided to get a new router. Happy New Year! :)

Thanks Barley! I posted some other stuff as well ;) I have been trying to just go for whatever I want to play, often making really weird sounds, but sometimes it works :)

Thanks! I am playing through a ProSound DM818. It's a generic microphone manufactured in China based on the sm58. I'm recording into my ipad which has amp simulators and they clean it up, then dirty up quite nicely! I do have a new microphone though, I can post a thread if you want as I just did a video. It's a copy of the 520 dx. Both times I am using blues harps :)

Great playing Fuzzball! You've got great tone, and I like that amped tone you're using as well. Keep up the great work.

Wow thanks! That's very kind. I should mention that I am playing through Zoom 505 II multi effects pedals. This is in order for me to be able to plug it into my iPad. In these cases though I believe I am using the bypass function, so it's not adding or doing anything at all to the input or output, it's basically going straight through with no effects, I use the iPad to finish it up and usually that's about it! GarageBand, particularly the desktop version, is a very useful tool! I will post my Superlux video, but I think I got my microphone to sound best in my version of Fannie Mae: (The vocal mic is from pound land)
Fannie Mae is one of my favourite of Hakan's, so I had to do my own version which he kindly said I could! I thought also I should mention that in my 'Easy' I really tried to make it sound dirty. I tongue block, so added some tongue slap to it. I usually lip purse holes 2 and 3 though, although sometimes tongue block those too. Blow bends and over blows I can only do lip pursed so I have to switch quite quickly as I find them near impossible tongue blocked. Thought I should mention that as I know a lot of people lip purse mostly but it doesn't work as well for me!
Here is my rather dull Superlux video:
I hope that is of use, thank you very much for compliments, it means a lot! :)

I forgot to add, I usually add overdrive as well, if I am recording into my iPad I will use the iPad, if I am just mucking around I will use my pedals. :)

Nice playing on all videos! Good tongue blocking technique on Fannie May with nice sound. Great in accompanied playing on the superlux video. Nice thematics and expanded improv on easy. Nice sounding overblows! Great improvements on all parts of your playing IMHO. ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube

Why thank you kind sir! Yes I really tried to stick to what I know. I didn't like my first version of easy at all once I had heard it a few times! I find my Ab much easier to get a nice clean over blow on than my Bb although I have a new not so worn out Bb so will try to get used to it as well. I actually think a D is the best for that. Fannie Mae was a challenge to get right. This was about my third or forth attempt at it, as it's easy to screw up on the roll up to draw 7 (I think) and then tongue twist down and hit a 3 - 4 side to side without doing it too fast! Hakan makes it look so easy! And thanks for compliments in tongue blocking, I find articulation easier like that. I learnt that a fair while back from Lee Sankey who is just fantastic. And I like your quiet video that you did! Very mellow and smooth.
