I know Lars stuff has come up before on the Forum and I think he might be a member as well.
Here is a video of him playing some funky harp in 2012. Nice fluid playing with some lovely runs.

Holy mega-hot damn! Players like that make me wanna send all my harps to them and pull the covers over my head...That guy can blow! I hear shadows of Todd P. if all he played was funky blues ( as well as Lee O. sprinkled in....But he's his own man and on fire..d ---------- Facebook

That was awesome. Among other things, some of the best vibrato I've heard!

I couldn't agree more guys.
Things I like about this solo:-
1. It puts a smile on my face, it's just good to listen to 2. He keeps it interesting throughout nicely mixing up tongue block and lip block phrasing. (really like the stucatto chords) 3. He uses a loads of different techniques throughout and even the simple rat-a-tat on the 5 draw around 2 mins is effective. Also love the tasty fluid run around 2.44 which is very Todd like. 4. He plays with a nonchalent ease which makes it easy to listen to.
I even found the hand gymnastics strangely compelling:) ----------

The hand gymnastics as GreyOwl mentioned. Agreed. I searched and seen that some good discussion was done last July on hands but was wondering more on the visual / mood issue.
Some players use their hands very effectively in simply creating a mood. Kinda reminds me of the hand movements in "Children of a Lesser God" re the deaf. Lars does this as do many other players. Some players put fingers up in front of their eyes occasionally which I find distracting, etc. Interesting to know what members find more interesting on the aesthetics here

Good stuff.. So nice to hear something a little different...
He follows the chord progression perfectly.. A neglected skill.. ---------- Greg Jones 16:23 Custom Harmonicas greg@1623customharmonicas.com 1623customharmonicas.com

To me, from 2:40 to 2:50 is a sort of release of tension that he had built up until that point. Like holding back the big guns until the right moment. The whole thing is so well crafted... It's inspiring.
Now, please don't go and fast-forward to that point. Listen to the whole thing and feel it.
