Thought I'd share this video montage I put together of a recent gig I went to in Bristol, UK. The Hoax are one of the best British Blues outfits around and are currently touring the UK and Europe. Some tasty Harmonica from their frontman Hugh Coltman. Hope you enjoy!

I love The Hoax. I had an album of theirs from back in the 90's. They did a great song called Fistful of Dirt. Very much like Cold Shot by SRV.

I'd love to know what BBQ Bob thinks of that drumming. To my ears, it's a true behind-the-beat blues shuffle--a version of the double shuffle, I believe--and is thus a refreshing change from the out-in-front, too-fast rock-type shuffle that many younger bands (and some older ones) often play.
Thanks for posting. I enjoyed it.

So true. Great drumming.
@Stevelegh, I can recommend their new album "Big City Blues" available on iTunes. Most of the tunes in the video clip are on the album.

Kudzu - Hoax drummer Mark Barrett is known as 'The Shuffle King' for that very reason.
Our band has bumped into him on the UK gig/festival circuit a few times. Great player.
