Late model JT30VC's were identical to their successor Hohner BluesBlaster and have an XLR connector wired in unbalanced mode, Pin 3 Hot. You can get an XLR to 1/4" cable at a music store for this. (Note - identical looking cables come wired Pin 2 hot or Pin 3 hot. Make sure you get the right one - the other won't work at all.)
Earlier Astatic JT30's were fitted with the 5/8" screw-on connector made by Amphenol and Switchcraft.
You can't buy those cables at the music store, and cheaply made cables (such as the one that comes with the Hohner Roadhouse JT30) will fail quickly. However most of the harp-specific vendors, myself included, make good quality cables for this connector. If you're interested in one of mine you can order it here.
The screw-on connector on the Hohner Roadhouse JT30 is frequently out of spec and too large to properly fit a Switchcraft connector. It's only a few thousandths of an inch too big, but enough so you can't screw the cable onto the mic. That can be repaired by running a 5/8-27 die down over the connector's threads - however in most cases the connector has to be removed from the mic to do the job right. Otherwise your ONLY source for cables is the Hohner company.
