@Stevelegh: The Z1 comb is the real new thing with the ExtraBend. We use the SUB30 reedplates (fully embossed), but that is the only part from the stock SUB30 in the ExtraBend: everything else is our own: the Z1 comb, X-Reed OverValve plate on holes 1-6, coverplates.
So we offer it as a separate harp to our standard SUB30 upgrades. Details are here:

Hi Brendan,
I was thinking about my SUB 30 with the brass comb. Whilst it plays really well, it weighs a ton, makes me walk with a limp when its in my pocket and I've successfully bludgeoned a few people to death with it. ;)
I was thinking that if I can swap the comb out for one that's even better, then that would be really cool.

Hi Steve, we do offer to convert customers' stock SUB30s to an ExtraBend, so I guess we could work something out with yours.
It's a kind of special case, but if you want to discuss it, email: enquiries@x-reed.com

Hi Brendan,
Thanks for the reply. I'll take a look at this in the new year after I've financed Christmas.
The Blue X brass comb is really beautiful and feels great on the lips, but it is very heavy. Not to derail, but I noticed you've pulled this option. Is there any reason for this?
I was considering speaking with you about an aluminium comb, but as these are now available, it may be another option with added extras, namely the 7-10 overvalves.
Speak soon.
Steve

Hi Steve, we switched to chromed alloy for the BlueX comb as it is easier for Max to machine and get flat. Still looks the same, but lighter :-)
