One of my 1847 classic's has a bad comb , not flat at all . I wonder if polymer silver combs are flat .If so , i could order one from Seydel .Or , maybe , order an aftermarket corian comb , could be a better way to go ?

Sometime this may occures. Send the wrong comb to Seydel factory and I think they will replace it for you for free. ---------- Excuse my bad English.

they are made of plastic none of them are perfectly flat simply find a nice piece of glass tape sandpaper to it and sand it flat. works like a charm ----------

They are never flat. Some are worse than others. You can flat sand them, though. It is hard to measure flatness, but you can still effectively improve the performance.

Are you in the U.S.? If so, Shoot me an email and we can talk about it.. If it is a warranty issue I will handle it on behalf of Seydel.
