The Blues Doctors have just confirmed. On Thursday, January 9th, we'll be playing a tips-only show from 7:30 to 9:30 (two sets) at the Northside Tavern in Atlanta.

Carlos Capote and his band the Breeze Kings will, as always, play 10 PM to 2 AM. Carlos, one of Atlanta's finest harpists, made this show happen and I'm very grateful for that. Because the truth is, the Northside is one of the bluesiest rooms I've EVER had the honor of playing. It is a joint; a dive. This is where The Blues Doctors belong.

I hope we'll see you there. We'll have lots of copies of the new CD on hand.

The Breeze Kings were voted Atlanta's best blues band three years in a row.

Cool! Just down the road from my store! Yep...The northside is the real deal, and Carlos is a helluva good guy. Count me in.

Wow tweedaddict. Either you're shy, or a real class act of a gentleman for passing the opportunity to sit in. Either way, it's very sympathetic :)

FreeWilly,
Yep, deathfully shy. I'm just the 30 year veteran of playing in the basement...

30 years! Wow.
In that case: get up there! :)
Not to perform, but as an opportunity to get the necessary experience to be ready to get up there. Or whatever excuse you need. Have fun!
