I love this classic version :)

Jump down, turn around to pick a bale of cotton
Jump down, turn around to pick a bale a day.
Jump down, turn around to pick a bale of cotton
Jump down, turn around to pick a bale a day.
Oh Lordy, pick a bale of cotton, oh Lordy,
Pick a bale a day.
Oh Lordy, pick a bale of cotton, oh Lordy,
Pick a bale a day.
Me and my gal can pick a bale of cotton,
Me and my gal can pick a bale a day.
Me and my wife can pick a bale of cotton,
Me and my wife can pick a bale a day.
Me and my friend can pick a bale of cotton
Me and my friend can pick a bale a day.
Me and my papa can pick a bale of cotton
Me and my papa can pick a bale a day.

Lead Belly's version is a favorite. Johny Cash had one also. I think it got yanked off of YT. Loved The Jerk. Mavin found his rythem.

Also, Leadbelly recorded this tune with the Golden Gate Quartet, a group of male singers who did gospel, work songs, and other tunes from African American tradition. They had a powerful rhythmic drive and a glorious concerted sound, and lent their sound to a few recordings with Hudie Leadbetter. Another good one is The Preacher Went a-Huntin'.
