So I went down to Mojokane's gig last night and got to sit in with him and his band(thanks man!) was nervous as hell, there was a few other really good players there too but everyone was really encouraging and cool. I found when I was playing my mind was kinda racing with what to play trying to listen what the band was doing and not looking like a blind Quasimodo while I was playing Lol! Train wreaked on a song and froze up on key to the highway . It was good fun just hanging out with the other players too. I learned that playing live really shows what your made of and what needs to be worked on. Can only go up from here. And his silvertone sounds killer!

To quote from "Good Fellas"-- "You broke your cherry!" Congrats! It only gets easier from here on out.

B3...Cool beans, it's tough to find the hole the first time :)

So what did you personally discover that your made of, and what do you feel that you need to work on? Thanks !

Frank, I discovered that I don't have to be sloppy drunk to play in front of people, gotta work on more accompaniment.

The world has become a better place - with one more harmonica playing out. It's a great start for sure. Congrats. Be ready to quit your day job soon. Most harp players rake in big bucks...

yeah...MAN! The kids got talent.
It was verry nice for me to sit back and listen to my newest rig. The Silvertone.
but not only, to listen to it...but to hear what it sounds like by someone good.
I may be exaggerating a tad...but it DID sound reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelly good. We'll find a way to record it one day...This is the one I added a closed back. photo silvertonebackw-boardJPEG_zpsb08e5500.jpeg photo silvertoneclosedback_zpsda4a9ae7.jpeg
I am proud to showcase such a good player. He has done his homework.(Although we all know it never ends...)

Thanks for stopping by Banyan. You are welcome back anytime. The 3 prong cord is next.

Just checkin out some pix of the other night with Banyan3.
Alot of fun, too. Lot of supportive veteran musicians stopping by now. Word is getting aoround.
And the tip jar is growing, too.
All of us do it for the comradery, and to keep our chops tuned up.

can't please everybody.
That's Larry Spalding. Brother of the new harp player for Canned Heat..he's pretty good, too.
Stop by people...when ever you're in town.
Every Wednesday night. Thanks again Brian. Can't wait to hear your gear, next time you stop in.

We actually had a visit from Mr Clean(aka Downtown Del)...that'd be Wes McDaniel from S.C. on the right. He smokes on guitar.

This is Chuck DeFrancis. Boy was he a sleeper. Tom brought him in to check it out. Reminded me of "the Snake"...great style. They did going up the country, and a few other canned heat numbers with Larry.

Banyan3 did real well for his first night out. He got alot of compliments.
But raising a family is paramount. He'll get the blues later. Family first.
We may not see him for awhile.
