Aaaargh!!!! That bloody spam filter did it again!!!
Try Mike Easton over at www.harmonicarepair.com he will probably be able to help you out with a slide. I'd post a clickable link for you but it'd most likely get marked as spam like it did before.

I think the hosting company need to look into their spam filter. It's way too sensitive.

Great stuff. I'm glad Mike was able to help you out. He's a great chromatic technician and a really nice guy to deal with.

Hohner in Europe still has parts but will not sell them to anyone in the US. The newer version uses a much smaller button than the original ones had. I still love the one I have that was a reconditioned one made while Frank Huang was still a harp tech at Hohner. Great tone and I love the straight tuned setup as opposed to the cross tuned setup they've used since they used plastic combs in the mid to late 60's.

Hey Kingley, Thanks for the tip about Mike in Lemoyne. He's only about 1 1/2 hours down the road from me. I have a few old chroms that are still playable, but need a bit of work that I have no business doing to them. Cool beans.

I have some prewar Hohner 64's that the late Bill Romel rebuilt for me with acrylic combs etc. I think that the reeds were made from the old bell brass which Hohner stop using many years ago. I have many chromatics and nothing sound like these. They have a very rich tone.
