Thank you!
I do take part in other threads but in a passive way. I read stuff on this forum regularly and it's always something interesting to watch. But I have never been much of a talker so I usually don't feel the need to take part actively in conversations myself. Often there is someone who has already expressed something I feel or I am curious about.

AWESOME! Tone everything! Nice light touch and accents, Cool elements of your own personality for coin pretty much a straight note for note take as well! Thanks a lot for that!

Hakan,

How do you sync your vid while recording direct? I am having a hard time with this in regards to a Lone Wolf demo. Thanks!

Thanks for your comments about my Rocker!

Moon Cat: Thanks! I found a preset in my digital recording equipment that compressed the sound and made it sound very "vintage" when I used a bullet mic. But it sounded to sharp when I had a Shure CR element so I used a mic with an element from a vocal mic. It gave it a little softer and broader sound. The Ultimate mic didn't give that sound with this setting. Yes I think I played it a little lighter this time. It's fun to try to play it as near the original as possible and try to capture some of the things Little Walter was doing.

Frank: I have to admit that the sound and the movie were not recorded together! First I had a camera running and my mic was connected to my digital recording equipment. So the first take I thought the video was OK. A fat guy in black, can't do much more about that. But I wasn't happy with the recording. So I made a 2nd recording directly after the first one which was better. And that was the one I was using. But I was too lazy to make another video. I was playing the same notes anyway. Some weird stuff: at 0:17 I am shaking my head but I haven't started to play the shake on the harp! It seems to be a pre-shake, mentally preparing for the real shake.

HarpNinja: I have one movie file from my camera and one sound file from my recording equipment. I use a simple program, Windows Movie Maker to connect these two files. I manually adjust the two files. I always enlarge the file as much as possible and it's not a big problem to adjust the sync manually.

I wasn't positive - you did a great job of acting - it looks accurate but I wasn't sure and curious, thanks for sharing how you did it :)

I did this last year and it kinda looks like a fake out but it is in real time :)

Have you seen this vid yet?
