I found this young ladies name and videos while googling Hohner Golden Melody players. I think she's fantastic. I know there have been several threads about her some of which seem to have degenerated into mindless drivel.
I like her playing. Not worried about anything else. Just wondering what other peeps think?

Rachelle headlined at the Uk harp festival 2 years ago and I had the pleasure of meeting her and welcoming her.
She is a very, very accomplished player and just took the house band with her very strongly.
R comes from a great French lineage of modern harp players which started with JJ Milteau, and continued with Christelle Berton.
I like her playing too!

@Gipsy,
If the 'anything else' you're alluding to is her looks, then I have to disagree. I'm very interested in pretty girls playing the harmonica. Its good for getting the harmonica out there in the music world, its good to see (sorry if I'm a voyeur) and its good for Rachelle's career.
However, looking at the way the 'Official Rachelle Plas Thread' was going as early on as the first page, I can see your concerns at this thread taking such a turn.
Rachelle is a great player. I love her version of Sir Duke. I know the song intimately having learned it on guitar and keys. I can't nail that harp part though.

I wouldn't worry too much about this thread taking the turn of timbre that the "Official" thread took back in '09.
That thread was fueled into its direction by a couple of offbeat opinions and comments from a collective of eccentric personality types.

Indeed, Rachelle is a very talented harp player.
FYI - She will be performing on November 1st at WHF in Trossingen, if any of you are planning to be there.

I like her stage attitude, she looks very relaxed when playing, blowing hard but having lots of fun. She's a great player and a very good singer
