I made a video featuring some of the best harp players that have participated in the on-line 'jams' at harmonicaboogie.com from its beginning in 2001 to 2012. Some excellent playing that's worth a listen.

Very nice, harmonica sure brings each players attitude personified.I particularily liked the two frenchmens passion and panache to the boogie.Of course that may be partly inspired by the women of france, and brazil, which would definately do me some good, been running into some very uninspiring american women, maybe bad luck, but just saying Hmmmmm.

I remember a lot of those and all the ones Frank mentioned. Sure some good players there. ---------- Wisdom does not always come with old age. Sometimes old age arrives alone.

Well... Dayum... You cut me out... I may have to come back and lay the smack down...
First, I get jammed out of gold in the last possible moment...
Second, this... I don't know what to say...

I've been flitting in and out of that Jam since it started. Still clock in just to listen occassionly. Had a few beers once with Kiwi Blues, now there is someone who went from rank beginner to Holy Shit in 4 years thanks to the Jam. She was pretty easy on the eye too....never a handicap in show bizz. Another player I remember who really impresed me was Michael Fell ,tone ,tone tone Thanks Beezel

I'll probably do a Best of Vol II, there are some worthy players without a doubt. I don't have any Joe L or Frank (Silenzio/Notsureyet - those are you, Frank, correct?) jams, so if you guys have any, please send them to me! Don't have any Michael Fell, either, would like to have some. I didn't discover the site until 2005, so that's why I don't have the early stuff. I had a sub-folder of Frank jams in my Best of folder, but I lost it somehow.
Joe L: definitely come back and play to a few backing tracks so I can include them in the next video!

Very nice playing! I once registered on Harmonicaboogie but I couldn't quite get it right... I think the interface was very comprehensive but maybe a bit too complicated for me. I really want to try it again though after listening to the gents in this video!
The site seems like a wonderful idea. ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube

I was just kidding about us wankers (I should speak for myself) being left out of the equation , hahahahahahahaha - we did have some hellashish fun grinding out tunes left and right - learned a lot of great lesson on harmonicaboogie.com, very educational place - especially for newer players - it can really help to improve in many ways :)
That is the creme of the crop you captured for that music vid Bob - they are all outta my league :)...I think I was ending my time at the jam as you were entering and your right, I had a quite a few different monikers adding to the fun - You make a lot of homemade BT's too right?
I'm going to scuffle a bunch of tunes I did with the GREAT Bt's that harmonica boogie.com had for the players to use. I must of done 1000 friggin songs while I was there. A few good ones can probably be salvaged the rest are as crazy, weird, strange, eclectic, goofy, rated "R" and flat out ragged and raunchy - and will be difficult for most people to stomach - because of the poor quality of my playing, singing and audio mix. They will be entertaining though - so i'll include a bunch for those who enjoy comedy and a good laugh :)
I'll just upload a bunch and you can do with them as you please...there will be some instrumentals and with a lot of the Bt's I added words, often made up on the spot...It's all in fun so - good to you Sir for putting that great music from those excellent players on Youtube and a great way to publicize the harmonicaboobie.com site.
Yeah that was like 10 years ago - I'm sure those players I mentioned are a million times better and have improved immencely, I highly doubt that they are wankers any more - Me - that's a tottally different story - I'm workin on it, when I'm not gardening :)

That video really has brought back some interesting memories and got me intrigued, I searched some old archives on my external drives and was able to pick eighty tunes played from yesteryear at haromincaboogie.com...A few other players I remember too from going over those old songs and seeing they made the Bt... is Brett, Davey G and Steph Wilson...Smooth Bluzer and Dblues were the main BT Guys among a few others and everyone pitched in some great Bts now and then. Anyway I'll put those tunes up in another thread - It should be a gas and will sorta give a glimpse as to how harmonicaboogie.com can be utilized... :)

I enjoyed every one of these harp blowers, all great players but to me they all were a little lite on the honk. It`s far and few between players that have a deep fat tone like James cotton and Steve Guyger for instance.and i rather hear fat tone with less notes than lots of notes and trebble tone harp.just my opinion...

Frank, don't sell yourself short, I wish I played as well as you do. Great timing and riffs!
As far as honk, yep, most players are using more notes and deep vibratos. Cameron Gray is in the vid, he's very traditional and has major tone. I forgot to include Laurence Garman, he's another like that and will be in the next vid. I just realized Joe L is justjoe as we know him on HB. He is a major honker and I will include him in the next vid as well (If you have a preference for a particular track, Joe, send it to me. I don't have all of yours.)
