I wish to participate World harmonica contest and I need a nice guitar player who can play two tunes with me at the contest. Can you recommend anyone who can help me for some money.
I will play Key to The Highway (blues) and Bei Mir Bistu Shein (Klezmer/Jazz)
Contest time is October 31, 2013 1:00pm - 5:00pm and November 1, 2013 10:00am - 12:30pm

I can't recommend a guitarist but I would love to hear your version of Bei Mir Bistu Shein.

Boris, Trossingen is really a small town not all that close to anything. Strasbourg, Stuttgart and Zurich are all about 80-90Km away. I would look in those cities, or I think you'd have better luck to contact the competition organizers and ask them - I would expect this is a common issue.

I already contacted organizers and they answered "Sorry, but we do not offer an official accompaniment for your contest. So of course we are sure that there will be musicians arround who can probably do the accompaniment for you but you have to find out yourself when you arrive in Trossingen."

Well that isn't very helpful of them! You might ask Steve Baker if he knows someone in that area, or get in touch with other competitors.

Boris,
Thank you very much for posting those. I liked them both but I really liked the energy of you on stage with the guitarist. That is a fun song and your performance brought that out, right down to the final cadenza complete with Beethoven quote!
I find your playing very inspiring.

with Eric Noden it will certainly be ok! that dude knows how to play with harp players :-) and can play many many styles
