Walter Horton is just the best ever in my opinion. Every time I hear him play his tone brings a smile to my face. The percussive qualities of his playing is a joy to the ears.

Walter had "BIG EARS" - he obviously (listened very closely) to what was coming out of his harp. His famous TONE is no accident :)

I don't hear any evidence of him being difficult in this recording. I do hear an exceptional musician trying to get a tight performance out the backing musicians. Not all that successful in my opinion.
