Bobby Rush, not really known as a harp player, but one of the most under-rated players in the business. This guy is proof that you don't need a high dollar amp for killer tone. 2fbcc

Believe THAT. About 6 years ago a band I was with opened for Mr. Rush here in Arkansas. We got to meet him and get a pic shot and also caught his show as well. Aside from being a helluva comedian and a very caring leader, he sings very very well and he does stuff ton harp that I never thought of in 42 years. He showed a real ability and insight when I saw him live and on his last couple of releases as well.

Scorcese's dvd set shows him trying to both keep the band on the road and not get screwed by club owners at the same time, and when the bus breaks- guess who is under there trying to get it to the next town? He has been on the road as a career musician and singer and band leader for over 50 years.

Gotta respect the man. Hats off to Mr. Bobby Rush!

Bobby's a great song writer and entertainer. He's a fine harp player. He's a super nice guy and is really funny. He told me stories about how he taught Little Walter how to play Juke when they were living in Chicago. Bobby would have been about 16 or 17 years old when Juke was recorded.
