A lot of forum members agree that Jason's style is recognizable whatever position he plays in. I agree.

However, the uniqueness of his 3rd position play really stands out to me. I hear overblows, bent double stops, octaves and splits with and without TB flutters, and more.

Many of us are pretty good at figuring out a lick in 1st or 2nd position. This song has taught me so much about 3rd position by "attempting" to figure out some of Jason's licks. Grab a Bb harp and give it a go! Figuring out the main theme lick starting at :28 is pretty cool.

Please, use this thread to post your favorite 3rd position play or post your own samples. Maybe some of us will learn some cool stuff!
