Agreed! He's got all the high-end crunch you could want, but it's backed up with some bottom end fullness; the two combine to perfection. That's some masterful playing--HD video, great sound, a front & center masterclass.
It's too bad that embedding of that video has been "disabled by request." I'd urge forum members to past the URL into their browser and savor this one.
Take a look at the comments. Kim is using a vintage Bassman and an Astatic T-3.

Hey!
That was my secret video to enhance my 3th position playing. Darnit!
Now all petty feelings aside: I listen to this at least 3 times a day. One of the most inspiring slow blues around.
What I find astounding is that he lingers on the 7 draw on the I chord on a minor blues. Sounds excellent. Happens around 0:57 mark. That the sixth right? I thought that was one of those 'forbidden' notes? Sound very lyrical indeed.

If Anson is playing the major 6th-Dorian-which I think he is ,than the 7 draw is a welcomed note-

Holy shit!! That's the most expressive and soulfully forceful 3rd I've ever heard...And watching his eyes - right in his face - just added to the thickness of the experience! I was tired - just peeking in before my 3rd gig this w/e - now I'm galvanized! ---------- Facebook

Kim really is the master of the slow Blues.. I have that 98 Spah tape ,it has a heap of great music on it(thanks iceman) First time i ever heard Kim do his extended solo boogie.
I must take it in and get it converted to DVD while i can. I cut and pasted the OPs link and got a RAP band!?
