I've recently picked up a few pedals (BBE Sonic maximizer, Lone wolf harp brake and lone wolf V1 delay). Currently they're strewn about chaotically in front of my VHT S6. I embrace my inner OCD and realize something MUST be done about this! haha. I've been looking at the PedalTrain Mini thinking that there's plenty of room to house my three pedals and room for a fourth if I wanted. However, whats the best way to power this rig? 9V's is going to get expensive real quick and being that I only play at home within feet of an outlet it seems a bit wasteful. I've seen on board power supplies but how do I know if they're supplying the right power for each pedal? Is there an industry standard? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. As would pictures of your pedal boards.

Thanks!

You have several options - actually lots. I have a PT Nano and PT 2, but have had the Mini, which can house a few power supplies.

Get a Godlyke Power All with a daisy chain and you should be fine for under $50. Keep the reciept incase you get hiss or have issues. If you have issues, then the T-Rex Fuel Tank Jr is my recommendation. Here are some great pics of how that'd look. https://www.google.com/search?q=thegearpage.net+pedaltrain+mini+power&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=HIA8UoTdIsfF2wWXnYDoCA&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1680&bih=925&dpr=1#q=pedaltrain+mini+t-rex+fuel+tank+junior&tbm=isch

Here is a pic of my board, which uses a Voodoo Labs 4x4 and is much harder to power, and requires a lot more than the Godlyke.

Using a few 9V pedals, though, you can't go wrong with the T-Rex. I don't have a pic handy, but I use a Godlyke Power-all with daisy chain for my PT Nano because it is all Lone Wolf Pedals and works fine.

That being said, many other pedals, like my Tech 21 Blonde DO NOT work with the cheaper pieces like the Godlyke. They cause hiss or don't work right because of the lack of isolated filtering. The advantage of the T-Rex is you will have no issues with filtering or noise.

Thanks Mike! I like the price of the Godlyke Power setup but long term (ie eventually playing out) you still need to run a power chord. The T-Rex looks like a real winner in my book. Obviously a bit more pricey but if you're going to do something do it right and do it once. Have you seen, heard anything about or had any experience with Pedal Trains new Volto? I think the T-rex will be my next purchase......

Thanks Bro!

This is what I have used for close to three years.
It works great and it's complete with everything you need including a removable power cord.

It's ideal for six pedals, but would hold eight.
I like the smaller footprint.
3-18v and 8-9v power supplies and will power any standard pedal on the market.
