relatively speaking that is. Our biggest music retailer has for example Blues Deville reissue (40W) @1699$ Hot Rod Deville 4 by 10 @1999$ Blues junior 111 @1199$ Pro junior @899$
Fender Princeton Ri @2199 $ (all new and in NZ dollars.
Not talking about their value as Harp amps but just in general. Why for example does a 15W 1 10" princeton cost more than a Deville carrying more tubes and 4 speakers . Is it just Hype or is the Princeton intrinsically so different in some way that costs more to manufacture?

A few reasons are because Fender want you to pay a premium for the name, the fact the amp is classed as "vintage" and the fact it's one of the most revered amps they ever made. Mostly though it's because Fender are a bunch of money grabbing corporate bastards.

Kingley summed it up. There $950 in the US. That should be about $1100 in NZ?

@kingley You're not one for beating around the bush then ;-
Yeah i have sort of assumed that would be the case. It's bugger 'cos i really want one and can't help feeling i''m being ripped off. But as my old man used to say"something is worth what people are willing to pay for it.." Mind you i think he was talking about horses. Have to get over it i suppose.I think i can almost import a dedicated Harp amp from the States for the same amount i'd be paying for a Princeton here.
@harpaholic(great handle) Looked at that ,swapping it to 240V,shipping and Duty plus GST tax puts it at 100.200$ less than buying here. With no guarantee .
