The band is 30X90 Women of Blues. They call me Monica as in HarMonica. They are a riot.

Enjoyable for sure. The harp player is good, but sure isn't pretty enough to stand up there with those gals. ---------- Wisdom does not always come with old age. Sometimes old age arrives alone.

Actually, I was playing through a Greg Heumann Kalamazoo Model 1, using a Greg Heumann Ultimate 545, mic'd into a crappy PA at that club. Of course I was using a HarveyHarp, which is all I ever use.
Thanks for the kind words. I have never been accused of being a competent Harmonica Player ----------

After the bar covers Harvey's liquor bill, they can't afford to keep the lights on.

Sounds like you had a tight cup on the mic. Who set the volume level of the harp. Just curious, Does anybody think the harp should have been louder or was the mix just right? I am not expressing a preferenc, I'm just wondering.

The bass player can not keep her hands off the PA knobs, and she is deaf. Her bass is always too loud as are the vocals. Typical Sound Stuff. I set my own levels, and we fight over the sound all the time. The guitar player was too soft. His Bassman that he normally plays through got flooded in Katrina, and finally crapped, so he was playing with my Blues Junior, tubed for harmonica and he was not mic'd. I too am getting deaf, but I thought my volume was about right. I have a volume control, and use it constantly. As for my cup, I do not cup real tight, and as a matter of fact sometimes I do not cup at all. Check out 1:41 to 1:42 for example. I do have a bulletizer on my 545 ultimate which helps a bunch. I have pretty small hands so my cupping leaves a bit to be desired, as does my tone. I have learned to love a rather clean sound.
What is interesting is that I have a Super Sonny, and I can not hear it at all on stage. The sound goes right pass me and drowns out everybody else if I turn it up so I can hear it. When I started using the Kalamazoo, everything fell into place, and now I use one most of the time. I have two of them, and I want more.
