Was checking out the calendar of my favorite bar in the DC area yesterday and Anthony "Swamp Dog" Clark was playing an early set. Having never heard of them before, and harp players are seemingly few and far between, I decided to head over figuring worst case scenario I'd have a few beers and head home. I couldn't have been more surprised! This dude was absolutely KILLING IT! I've watched some videos on YouTube of him and none really do his playing justice. In between sets I approached him out front and what started as a simple compliment turned into a full on conversation about playing harp and other local musicians.
Anyways if you get a chance to see him play I highly recommend going. He has a cd out on iTunes which is also worth checking out. It was very cool to watch him play and really awesome to pick the brain of someone that talented and committed.
