Somebody sent me the following video and it's worth sharing. I really like what this guy is doing. He's got a very intense sound--nothing mellow about this track!--and some flashy high note action. I think you could put him, Jason, Paul Harrington, and me into the same subset of contemporary players, in terms of general approach.
This is the kind of playing I'm hoping to find when I walk into a club, frankly. I like the way he quotes Little Walter's "Fast Boogie," but I also like the way he completely transforms LW's stuff into his own voice. He's an exciting player.

Intriguing for sure :) do I hear some Charlie Musselwhite influence in that tune?

Cristian is an awesome player. And he's such a great guy. Last year I won a ticket to see Billy Branch in Santiago and he invited me to his house: he showed me his gear, taught me tips for free and gave me a hot dog for lunch hahaha...
I'm really happy to see him having success in Chicago. He deserves it.

Yes, very good player, and a nice guy. He is in USA right now, but i cant wait to see him in Chile one more time.
