Who would you folks recommend for the best recone for a 1955 Jensen p12r smooth cone and a 1950s 12" smooth cone Utah spkr. I think is a Utah? . I Like the tone of the vintage smooth cones and want to do he recone with smooth cones. I scared to have weber do it cause I've read on this forum and on a lot of guitar forums that their speakers have a lot of cone cry. The speakers are still going , but I play them so its only a matter of time before they go, and I like to be prepared. Fwiw the Jensen is out of my a ga6 and the Utah ? Is still in the danelectro 272 centurion amp.

Neal's Speaker Service.
They have done a number of vintage Jensen speaker recones for me and their work was excellent.

And I wouldn't give up on yours without some repairs of your own. I admit I haven't done it but I know you can make a paper fiber glue mix that can be crazy awesome. One of mine has a slight edge tear that will buzz at the right/wrong frequency and I'm going to try to fix it. Right now it's just not plugged in.
