Today, doing my dishes I got a strange idea. Why should I spend my time & knowledge helping stock owners to earn more money while there might be fellow-harpists in need for help?

See, I'm an engineer by education and currently work as a Quality Manager in a global company. I play harp and have done some customization work myself, learning some techniques from the great Chris Michalek. I'm not a great customizer and I'm not planning to become one - but it is interesting to do few harps every now and then for myself.

Now, I was thinking that as there are nowadays already quite a few customizers out there, perhaps somebody would like to gain some competitive advantage / reduce costs / reduce work-time by optimizing his/her working techniques and material usage.

As I happen to possess some knowledge on quality management I could help you out. I have for example some statistical tools that can be used to find out where the focus of work should be put on and how to reduce waste. This is of course more relevant to people who really do customization as a living (=lots of harps). If you do just few harps now and then this isn't so relevant for you.

So how much does this cost - what's the catch? I know that there are consultants who would take 500USD/hour or more for this kind of consultancy. But I'm not planning to make money with this, harps are my hobby and I want it to stay that way. You can pay with customized harps! I spend time helping you out - you spend time tweaking me harps. Fair, isn't it?

So, this was my strange idea! :) I don't know if there is any buy-in for this kind of service, but if you are interested you can contact me and I can provide you more detailed CV and we can work out some kind of agreement...

ps.

Of course your product can be also something else than harps, provided it is harp related (mics, cases, etc)
