Hi all, I fairly new here. Been playing for 40 yrs. Been building, modding, repairing tube amps for 18 yrs. Build mics also. I'm really into it. Played out 4 nights last week...
Anyhoo, I have several great amps here. None are harp specific. Most are in the 20-50 watt range. The one I want to tell younz about today is the Sano HiFi model 30.

There is also a 30WR (reverb) but I don't have one of those. This is one kick butt harp amp with 4x12AU7's, a 12AT7 and a 7025. Rectifier is a GZ34 and 2x6L6 power tubes. Amp is cathode biased and has a split chassis design. I am runnung an SS slug insteed of the GZ34. This has an origional Utah PA15P speaker installed. 15 for harp? Believe me, it works great. The Sano HiFi is also an excellent Jazz amp but is not a hi gain screemer. If you come across one of these Jersey built beauties, grab it.
I will report on a few more of my favorites in weeks to come. Harp on folks...

Try putting in new power tubes. The volume of my Premier Twin 8 was fading when it got hot; I replaced the 6L6 tube and it fixed the problem.

Sorry, just found your ? post.
There are many possabilitys for this. Bad PS caps, bad solder joint, bad tube, resistor, bypass cap, PT and so on. I have a buddies Fender Twin on the bench right now that has a simular problem. It fades when you hit a power cord then comes back. Haven't found the cause yet.
Here is a usefull link that I use. http://www.geofex.com/ampdbug/ampdebug.htm
Don't poke around in there if you don't know what you are doing. HV caps/PS can and will kill, even when the amp is unpluged. Your pretty safe when changing tubes. Just keep your fingers on the glass, not on the base where the pins are. That is a great amp. If it has not been serviced latly, do yourself a favor and get it tuned up by a GOOD tech...BN
