All of us in the harmonica world have something to gain from the success of POCKET FULL OF SOUL. I'm going to urge you to give a little something (or a big something, if you're set up to do that) to the film's Kickstarter campaign.

If you contribute $25 you will get access to a digital download of the movie. Go $35 and they will send you a DVD of the movie! (autographed by the director)
"Estimated delivery November 2013"

Edit: Although it's not evident (to me anyways) if you still get the DVD if the campaign does not reach the target funding goal.

If they don't reach the goal in pledges, the funding falls thru, ie., doesn't happen, and, I think, no one ends up paying anything, and there won't be any dvd's to be had.
Some one please correct me if I have this wrong.

I've helped fund a couple of successful Kickstarter campaigns, and they're pretty good about getting you the rewards. Especially in the case of movies. I've gotten three so far.

Owning the DVD is having the perfect tool to explain to skeptical family and friends the signifignence of the instrument we play. That alone is worth the cost to me. And as a community we should step up and honor the time and effort that was put in to making this film. OMG " I'll have to wait 'till November to get my rewards". Really ? How long do we wait for that custom harp to get here after it's been ordered ? If ya can afford a few bucks step on up to the plate.

Why is it that pledgers outside of us need to give extra 10$ for shipping when it's a digital download? If anyone can have that fixed I will pledge 25$. Apparently one cannot leave comments unless pledging.

Unlike messy, I don't use the term OMG ever, because I'm a man!

Besides that you quoted something that doesn't exist, and you obviously don't understand what I posted.

Uh oh, sounds like somebody's a bit insecure about their manhood. Wasn't quoting you personally Harpaholic but was alluring to the general mindset of instant gratification nowadays which is as annoying to some as "valley girl" acronyms might be to others. To clarify what I "obviously don't understand". about your post: If your concern is being burned - one PLEDGES the money. If the campaign fails your card is not charged. That's how I read it on the website. But you might wanna check if out for yourself.

@philisofy- nothing is available until the campaign comes through, just as everything is refunded unless the campaign comes through... I guess all kickers will come at the same time, too. I'm not sure on that last part, though.

You basically lend them money in advance. If the project don't come through, you'll be refunded...

They're only 19% pledged so far - as of email this morning - and only 16 days left to meet the goal, so if anyone is thinking about it, now would be a good time to pledge. Nothing to lose really. Either you don't end up paying anything, or you get the download or the DVD if they reach the goal.

I'll pledge as soon as they remove that silly ten bucks fine for being non-American on the digital download...
