That is one of the pedals I am experimenting with. Keep in mind I am using the kinder pedal to control the feedback. So far I have used it with The rat pedal Butler tube pedal The golden cello And the harp octave
The rat pedal worked surprisingly well, the best sound was with the volume all the way up, distortion and filter pretty all the way off Not something I would want to base my sound on, but pretty cool never the less.
I used the butler pedal last week at the jam. The idea was to get a good sound at a lower volume. Not sure that idea worked as I was louder than everyone else, oops! I must have liked the sound Because I used it thru-out the day Once again not so sure I would base my sound on it, but since I have one further experimentation is warranted.
The golden cello pedal now that is one I would like to delve into further That was super bitchen, however There was some sort of impedance mismatch. It may need to be tweaked a bit. Guitar center has a thirty-day return policy, just might be a fun pedal.
The best of the lot seemed to be the harp octave. My buddy james brought one to the jam, very easy to dial it in. he had a very nice tone with it. That pedal could most likely be used with out the kinder pedal in most situations, we will see. A friend of mine has one for sale, he said to bring over some beers And we can check it out. If I can just get my sorry ass over there.
Just got a Tube Works Real Tube overdrive, plugged it in with the 12ax7 and thought I had wasted my money. Swapped in a 12au7 and what a difference. Big fat tone and lots of control. ---------- Alex
