What was the intent of Harp Friends on Youtube? Seemed like a neat idea, but appears that it has not been contributed to in a while.
I ran across this channel a while back and have been meaning to ask.

I believe it was created for a Blow Your Brains Out contest we used to have on this forum.

Tuckster is right, back in the early days we used it as a place to post our 'challenge' entries but it all got too complicated to manage. We didn't have time to keep showing people how to upload stuff to YouTube back then and it fell into redundancy. Think I still have the log-in and password somewhere.

While it was, indeed, used for BYBO, I recall it being a place to simply share licks and minor explanations.

Yes,
It was just for sharing whatever in the beginning. Then we tried to use it for bybo. It was just one of those things that got left behind as other media became more useful.
