If any of you are free this weekend, the mostly-free Kitchener Blues Festival is being held August 8-11 in Kitchener, Ontario. (http://www.kitchenerbluesfestival.com/)
The legendary Lee Oskar is performing and holding a harmonica workshop (not sure what that will entail).
Harp players this year include:
Lee Oskar (The Lowrider Band)
Kelly "Mr. Chill" Hoppe (Big Sugar)
Chris "Junior" Malleck (Daddy Long Legs)
Shawn "The Harpoonist" Hall (The Harpoonist and The Axe Murderer)
"Mississipi" Pete Temple (Douglas Watson R&B Revue)
Of course, there are several other performers who play harp but not as their main instrument.
I'll be there all weekend, and I'd be happy to meet up with any forum members who are attending.
