I came across this video today and was immediately struck by how good this young mans chops are. His name is Jake Carter and I've never heard of him before. I'll be keeping an eye open for this young man from now on though. He's sitting alongside the great Steve Guyger and more than holds his own. Jake has some seriously good tone going on. You can tell this young man has studied Shakey Horton very closely and really done his homework. It's a pure delight to listen to blues played this way.

Much appreciation for his great tone and attack - his investment in learning from Master Walter is going to pay off mightily as he comes into his own down the road :)

Natural ability, born into the harp, some have it, some try, some persist and get better, some just give up, kids a legend already.
Just got my harp juices motivated, man cave thing for me.

Sounds like he's been hangin' with Steve. I think that's at the Sunday Jam with Steve outside Philly.
Nice to hear a young really play and not just blow crap a jam like o many do. You can tell he's done his homework in so many ways.

He's listening to what's going on around him too - which is an admirable quality :)
