Recently sold one of my K 2 s. I had it for years and never changed anything. Loved it for guitar and harp and played the heck out of it.
I never used the trem much and it didnt always work well ( but new buyer knew that ,)

Here is the strange thing ,. Before I packed it up I played it to make sure everything was good-input 1 as always was used. For the sake of testing -I tried input 2 for a while -and trem worked great ??? Any easy explanations for this ?

When you use the 2nd jack the 1st jack is still shorting the input (with which you are in parallel through a resistor) to ground - lowering the input impedance your mic or guitar sees. (For this reason it is generally a BAD idea, especially for harp players, to use input 2 unless input 1 is already in use for something more important.) I can't explain why that MIGHT make a difference to the tremelo. I CAN tell you that the tremelo can work some of the time for a couple of different reasons. As one of the caps in the circuit gets weak, it will sometimes work, but fade away as you increase the rate with the control knob. And frequently the on-off switch is intermittent as well. I wonder if you were experiencing either of those symptoms coincidentally?

Thanks Greg.
Everything appeared to work just fine.
Volume was a little less and and highs appeared a bit reduced. Sound was actually really nice. I was testing with a telecaster and not with a mic if that helps.
