I have a 5 watt Fender Bronco ( tube ) that soneone stuck a 200W speaker in it. I'm wanting to put an Eminence Ragin Cagin in it if I can make it fit. Anybody else play with a tube Bronco and if so what kind of setup do you have ?
Also, has anybody have any experience with the Ragin Cagin as a harp speaker ?
Thanks

The tube Bronco is just a rebranded Vibro Champ and the Vibro Champ is just a Champ with tremolo, so any advice about Champs will apply equally to your amp.

The Ragin Cajun is a 10-inch speaker. The Bronco came with an 8-inch speaker. Are you sure that is what you want to do?

I have a 10-inch speaker in my 1970 Champ but it requires some mods to the baffle and is kind of a tight fit. I had a Weber 10A125-O in the amp at first; now it has a Warehouse Veteran.

It's best if you use a speaker with 3.2 to 4 ohms. Weber has many good choices for this. The Signature series are good and inexpensive. I have played them and liked the tone.

I have not played the Ragin Cajun for harp, but I like several of the Eminence Patriot series speakers. It might be good.

The 200W speaker in the Bronco is 8 ohm. I don't think a 10" will ever fit in there either. If I get any positive feedback on the Cajun I was thinking about putting it in another case.

I scrapped the notion of the 10" Cajun and ordered an Eminence 820 H.....8", 20 watt, 8 ohm speaker. Had it installed in less than thirty minutes and man alive my Bronco is reborn. Has twice the volume and tone and breaks up nicely.

My mistake. The 820H is 4 ohm.
