Hello MBH forum harp players. I love how this sight is such a cool resource and now I want to tap into it once again. I am planning to travel from Modesto California to Buffalo NY beginning of Aug. I can do some zigzagging if I like (not in a big hurry especially on the way back). If you know of a Blues jam that I could possibly play at on the way or way back give me details and I will do my best to pop in. I like meeting other harp players from this site so hook me up if you want :-D Thanks Tony

Jams around Denver.
Scroll through the gigs callender; the jams are clearly marked. I counted on Tuesday and there were 15 jams listed in the next seven days.

Hey, if the host band of the Sunday Night MHBS Jam at Ziggies is The Blues Allstars, that's me. We host on alternating Sundays. It would be cool if you could come play. You are welcome to use my rig.

I can't comment on the quality of the jam (I'm not qualified even if I could), but this is one of the bigger jams in Memphis.

Around Little Rock there are 2 weekly and 1 monthly. Weeklies: Parrot Beach Cafe on Thursday nights. North Little Rock out Macarthur Drive, sort of out in the sticks. Thirst n Howl, Tuesday nights, Blues society jam, on Cantrell in West Little rock.
And a monthly blues society jam at Markham Street Grill and Pub, on West Markham St. just west of I'430. 3rd Saturday of every month.
I may could meet you at one of these if you come through this far south. ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/jawboneandjolene

The Harmonica Club plays every Tuesday from 7 to 9 in Huntington, WV. We will always find a place for another harp player.

I believe that I could create a second forum for this website--a dedicated "blues jam central" forum that all members of THIS forum would automatically be enrolled in. We could request that threads consist primarily of CAPITALIZED place names, i.e.,
DENVER blues jams NYC blues jams CONNECTICUT blues jams
....and the like.
Once a given location had an established, dedicated thread, we could start collecting threads and listing them as stable URLs at the top or bottom of that page, geographically or alphabetically. Then when a new jam opens up in an established location, you can just post that new jam venue in the dedicated thread.
Would people here like me to create that forum? In any ordinary forum, it would be a subforum. Here, the only way of doing it is to create a brand new forum. We could call it the Blues Jam Forum.

Sounds good to me, Adam. The Denver area blues jams are always listed in the Mile High Blues Society website on the Shows page. There are about 15 blues jams per week.
Blues begins at jams.
