I have an opinion on this...
For vocals, Kim may have studied T-Bone Walker.
For harmonica, Little Walter. ---------- The Iceman

When I first met him in the mid 70's, he personally learned a lot from the same teacher Rod Piazza and William Clarke both had, and that's George Harmonica Smith. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

Kim talks about his influences in one of his many video interviews with David Barrett. Here is a quote from the second video in the series. "No one ever gave me a lesson, I did get some confirmation"
He also said many of his influences didn't play harp.
According to Kim, George Smith was one of his many influences and he did play with George as well as many of the greats.
James Cotton being one of his biggest.
