That would be Third Position. Draw hole 4 is your root. Oh, Welcome to the Forum! I guess I missed your ealier posts.

OOPs. Looks like your 1st post was in Sept. 2011. I guess I just don't get out enough. Sorry...

Thank you orphan I been on this site for some time now but don't go on that often, I may learn more about 3ed Position Iv'e used Lee Oskar Natal Minor for blues but will love to learn how to play 3ed I spotted he played some tong block chords which I have started working on so that will be grate. Check out some of my other questions by all means there is only 2 I think but i'm sure I will add some more by asking for help :D

1D, 8D, and 8B bent a whole step is the same note as 4D
Its common to do a 1-4D octave split for the 1 chord in 3rd

1D,4D, and 8D are the same pitch, but 8B bent is the 1/2 step between 8D and 8B.

I'm not sure what your trying to say. An A harp for example, 8D is B, 8B-Dflat, 8B 1/2 step bend is C, 8B whole step bend is B

I'm a fan of 3rd but not the natural minor harps. Tried one or two and it was just weird to me. I had already gotten pretty good in 3rd on regular tuned harps.

3rd position sounds so much better on a standard harp, imo.
I find the LO nat minors to be stiff and unresponsive. I haven't tried other brands.

Adam, got some great videos on 3rd position. Watching these is what got me started on 3rd position.

Wow thank everyone I think the Lee Oskar harps are good for minor chords but I don't use them much, I love the sound of 3ed pro they way Ronnie did it, I will listen to Adams video later are then any over blow or 1.5 step bends in 3ed pro as they are notes I struggle with.
