I volunteered at the Folk Fest this weekend on the equipment crew. Friday night, Saturday, Sunday with glorious weather driving the golf carts back and forth to stages delivering amps, stands, what ever. Sweet gig.
But...Wade Shuman and Hazmat Modine were there. They didn't get main stage but several concerts and "work shops". Let me report the harp was represented! Stellar playing acoustic and with what ever chorus/octave pedal units he was using. I was pushing their sets on who ever I talked to and had a few people come back with dropped jaws.
The darlings of the fest were The Cat Empire from Australia. They did a combined set with Hazmat Modine on Sunday morning that was through the roof (if they had roofs at folk fests :) !!
