The highlight of the show on Saturday
Was billy’s drummer Tovia Bradley
Just like us harmonica players who
Have to have a certain mic, and a certain amp, when you mic up a drum set, it is a completely different animal!
Billy sang somebody hoo-dooe’d the hoo-doo man and signaled a break,
And she tears into a drum solo!
I don’t think she meant too. It seamed too catch everyone by surprise, even tovia. Isn’t live music great, you do not always know what is going to happen. She had the biggest smile on her face. It felt like a wave of joy that spread thru the crowd, the whole place went nuts! Music is alive, there are the magic moments when the band is reacting off of everyone else. It was like someone struck a match, which is never a good idea in a drought stricken forest.
