TWO Sonny Jr. Avengers!

Ever since I got my Avenger it is the only amp I gig with. I love it. Everyone who plays through it loves it. Everyone who hears it loves it. Although I love the tone of the Super Cruncher, it isn't always loud enough for some of the jams I do. And because it is questionable whether Sonny Jr. will ever make another Avenger, when the opportunity to snap up a used one came along, I jumped at it - because I know this is an amp I want for life, and if one ever got stolen/damaged and I couldn't replace it I know I would be sick. Next outdoor gig I may use them together - they sound AWESOME that way.....

Sorry for the messy garage shot.....

Big time envy Greg. I'm right with you on this one. If I ever see another one come up for sale I'll go into hock and put the Mrs on the street.

BTW, I see two cords. Did you use a Y splitter?

Why bridge channels when you can bridge amps!

Man gotta lotta love for somebody who found his sound.Shoulda bought an avenger, but had reasons to get a HG50.I have a deep love for country, country rock, and the HG sings with a clean mic,not that an avenger wouldn't.If I was making the big bucks, definately have a big meteor,and/or harp king to.Bee-yu-ta-ful

Yes, I bridged the amps through an A/B/Y box. First thing I wanted to know when I took delivery of the second amp today is whether they sounded alike!

They can be made to sound very much alike though the tone controls have to be at slightly different positions to do so. No big surprise. The new one had a little more mid and highs when the tone controls were set exactly the same. Then I went back to my normal "bridge input 2 to bright 1" on my old Avenger - and compared again. Even with relatively modest bright volume settings (and normal volume reduced to keep the volumes equivalent between the two amps) now the old one was brighter with more cut. I definitely prefer the amp bridged.

FYI the guy I bought this from is a customer - and he ALSO has an HG50 1210 for sale. I've heard that amp and it is a damn good amp. If you're interested contact me privately and I will put you in touch.
